Junior Videographer and Editor

We are a small but busy video production company based at Heathfield, Newton Abbot, and we are looking for a junior videographer to join our production team.

This is a hands-on position where you will be engaged in all aspects of video production producing and editing short information and training videos for the healthcare sector.

The role will involve production and post-production work, including filming in our in-house studio, in various hospital locations and editing videos. You will be working as part of a young, keen creative team but you will also need to be self-motivated. Fantastic people skills and a good team fit and ethic are a must.

This position will be paid lasting a minimum of 3 months with the potential to extend or become permanent for the right person.

Key skills

Strong camera skills (DSLR)

Basic lighting and sound skills

Passionate about camera work, have a great eye for detail and a good ear for sound

Video editing skills using Final Cut Pro 10 (using iMac and track pad)

You are comfortable with editing sound, adding text graphics and colour grading footage

A love for creating and editing videos!

Strong proven interest in the creative industries

The candidate

You must be passionate about filming projects, self-motivated and organised

You should have experience of producing quality video to a semi-professional standard (ie.film shorts)

You will possess an enthusiastic, positive attitude and a willingness to learn

You must have an eagle like eye for attention to detail

Have a strong work ethic

The ability to be flexible with your time and to work extra hours if required

You must have a portfolio or evidence of any film or video work that you have produced

Being able to drive is an advantage
